iQOO is finally coming to Pakistan early next year according to MASTECH, a popular YouTube channel in Pakistan. He reported that the Vivo sub-brand will soon make its way into the Pakistani market. He earlier reported iQOO was supposed to launch in Pakistan in August or September. But that didn’t happen due to a sudden rise in PTA taxes. However, he is now certain that iQOO devices will be available to Pakistani consumers in Q1 2022.
iQOO’s History
BBK Electronics announced iQOO as a sub-brand of Vivo in March 2019. However, iQOO launched in India as an independent brand in February 2020. The Chinese brand has made its mark in the Indian market since then. They are known to be a performance-focused brand and mostly launch devices pandered towards consumers who look for better gaming and performance. The Vivo sub-brand is also well-reputed in terms of providing great value for money devices. iQOO smartphones have become very popular in a short period. They have launched devices like iQOO Neo3 with Snapdragon 865 processor and 144 Hz refresh rate display. iQOO 5 with Snapdragon 865 processor and 120 W fast charging. That too at incredible prices.
Why Pakistan?
Pakistan is a market where value for money devices are in huge demand. Brands like Xiaomi and Realme have been dominating the mid-range price segment in Pakistan. Devices like Mi 10T, Poco F3, and Realme GT Master Edition have been extremely popular. iQOO offers similar products and they can challenge these existing brands by providing even better value. They will most probably be available to consumers only online. That will be great for them initially because people nowadays prefer to buy electronics online. Nobody wants to go to the offline market and spend 2 hours searching for a phone. So the online strategy might be great for iQOO in Pakistan. It was a long time coming for Pakistanis.
iQOO Is Bound To Succeed In Pakistan
Reports are circulating that iQOO might be launching made in Pakistan phones. This will certainly help them avoid taxes and keep the price down. Vivo is already launching made in Pakistan devices so this news might very well be true. If they execute their plans accordingly and stay true to their identity, they will surely succeed in Pakistan.
