MediaTek has come a long way. From powering up entry-level smartphones to dominating the upper mid-range segment with Dimensity lineup. MTK has faced several issues in the past due to poor optimization, and heat-up issues. However, they have caught up very well in the past few years.
If you look at the $100 to $200 price range, you are likely to find more devices powered by the Helio G-series lineup than Snapdragon counterparts. Lately, the Snapdragon 6xx and 4xx series have not been much appreciated by consumers due to sub-par performance.
And now MediaTek plans to capture the flagship market as well. They recently introduced the Dimensity 9000 chipset. It is the world’s first 4nm chipset. We will see it powering flagship smartphones soon. On the other hand, Qualcomm is preparing to launch the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen1. We expect it to see by the end of November 2021.
So the question for this week is if you will experiment with MediaTek’s flagship processor instead of Snapdragon 8 Gen1. It is a pretty interesting poll, as MediaTek is still having mixed reactions.
