AirPods 3rd generation just launched. But as most people might think they aren’t better than the AirPods Pro, they are just an upgrade to the normal AirPods. Now, there have been many rumours regarding the AirPods Pro 2nd generation launching in 2022. But should you wait for them? Here are the AirPods Pro 2 features that we will have.
AirPods Pro 2 Features
The next AirPods will be built on the same architecture as the regular Pros. It will carry all the features from the regular Pros but on top will have something better to sell them as the ‘Better’ version.
More Sensors
The current-gen Pods have dual optical sensors on each earbud to detect if they are in a user’s ear. But this will be upgraded to the skin-detection sensors. The main reason for that to be an upgrade is that if the AirPods are put in a dark space like your pocket, they might start the playback thinking they are in your ear. Other than that there have been leaks of them having temperature sensors that may contribute to the Apple Health App.
Better Case
The current case for the earbuds is a lot better than some of the other cases you see on the market. It’s small, light and holds the buds. It also does wireless charging! But in the next-gen, you will see IPX4 or even maybe IPX5 water resistance. Not only that but the case will support fast MagSafe charging and have a bigger battery.
Bigger Battery
The battery will be bigger than on the current-gen. Right now, it can’t be said by how much, but it will have something to have at least 7hours+ playback time. As we expect better ANC and more features, a bigger battery will be a must to keep the charm alive. Also, fast wireless charging will benefit them a lot.
