TSMC and Samsung are in tough competition with each other, both are giving each other an edge with all sorts of chipsets. Now, Samsung in an attempt to get ahead of this competition has announced the Samsung 2nm process chipset roadmap.
Samsung 2nm Process Chipset Roadmap
The Samsung 2nm process does not appear on the public roadmap, but, Samsung’s senior vice president of foundry marketing strategy, revealed huge information regarding the roadmap of the processors.
This is the first time that we have heard of the Samsung 2nm process chipset roadmap. According to Samsung, we should expect the mass production of this processor sooner than later, but they said that the progress of the new process also depends on customer planning and deployment, which means it can change depending on the demand of the market. While on the other side, TSMC’s 2nm process is expected to be in mass production in 2024.
Samsung speculated that they will get their 2nm Chipset ready by early 2025, that’s still a year later than TSMC but they say that their chip will be more powerful, efficient, and will have a miniaturization of electronic products to continue to move forward. This will have a huge impact on the market because these are not only for mobile phones but for tablets and laptops as well.
