Today at the Apple event we all witnessed the launch of the latest flagship series from Apple the iPhone 13 Series. This series consists of 4 smartphones the iPhone 13 Mini, the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro & the 13 Pro Max. Let’s see what Apple has bought to the market with this new iPhone.

After months of leaks and rumours, finally, we have the iPhone 13 series here.

Specs & Features

The 13 mini gets a 5.4″ Super Retina XDR OLED Display that is now 28% brighter. The vanilla 13 also gets the same display but a bigger 6.1″ display. The new A15 Bionic Chip is now once again 50% faster with twice the system cache. The GPU is now 30% faster. Speaking about the battery, the mini will have a 1.5 hours longer battery than the 12 mini and the 13 will have 2.5 hours longer battery life.

It has the same sleek flat-edge design and the ceramic shield on the front. The cameras on the back are diagonally arranged. The notch on the front is now 20% smaller. We now get 5 new colours

Camera

Apple has dramatically improved the 12MP Wide-angle sensor, the sensor is now 47% bigger to capture more light. Sensor shift OIS is now in iPhone 13 and 13 Mini. The 12MP ultra-wide sensor has also improved a lot, you now get 133 focal lengths with a 120-degree field of view. On the video side of things, we get an amazing feature from professional cameras in the iPhone, which is known as “Cinematic Mode”. iPhone intelligently changes the and shifts focus depending on the cinematic surroundings while filming in Dolby Vision HDR. Improved night mood means better photos & videos in the dark. Both phones are still IP68 rated.

Price

The 13 mini starts at $699, while the iPhone 13 starts at $799. The base storage is now 128GB.

iPhone 13 Pro & Pro Max

Specs & Features

iPhone 13 Pro series also gets the A15 Bionic Chip. The chip is 50% faster. The front display is now a 25% brighter LTPO panel with a 120Hz variable refresh rate it can go as low as 10Hz to save battery life. Speaking battery, the iPhone 13 Pro will last 1.5 hours longer than the 12 Pro and the 13 Pro Max will last 2.5 hours longer than the 12 Pro Max.

Design

The design of the Pro series is frankly speaking the same as the last years iPhone 12 Pro Series. The only change is that the notch on the front is again 20% smaller. We also see new colours.

Camera

All three sensors have tremendously improved. We see a 3x Telephoto lens, an ultra-wide with autofocus that can now double as a macro sensor and has up to 92% low light improvement, finally the wide has also 2.2x improvements in the low light scenario. All three sensors now support improved night mode with LiDar. A new feature namely the “Photographic Styles” can edit photos in real-time so you can get the images you want. On the video side of things, you get the cinematic mode, that can shift focus based on the surrounding, you also get the HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Another feature that will come to iPhone 13 series later this year is “ProRes” this will lower the space required to shoot videos with even greater quality.

The iPhone 13 Pro Starts from $999, and the 13 Pro Max starts from $1099.
