Smartphone manufacturers are developing their own chips. Whether it is an SoC like Google’s Tensor or ISP like Xiaomi Surge C1. Now, more companies are working on their own chips. Chinese manufacturer Vivo also doesn’t want to stay behind hence they are working on their own ISP (Image Signal Processor). For now, there is no official announcement but leaks have appeared surrounding the new chip.
The leaks come from trusted tipster Digital Chat Station. He leaked images of the upcoming Vivo chip. It clearly shows the branding “Vivo V1.” Earlier, we also got to know that the chip is codenamed “Yueying.” It is also exciting to know that earlier Vivo trademarked Vivo SoC and Vivo Chip. Also, the ISP is being produced together with Samsung. The South Korean tech giant helped in the Research & Development of the chipset. Vivo is keen on their upcoming chips. Reportedly, there are 500-600 members who are responsible for the chipset department. The Chinese company is also hiring new members for its chip division.
Vivo X70 series might feature Vivo V1
The X70 series of Vivo is coming next month. The “X” lineup of smartphones is mostly camera-centric with high-end features. Hence, we have expectations of seeing the Vivo V1 chip on the upcoming Vivo X70 series. Recently, the specifications and renders of the Vivo X70 Pro surfaced online. According to the leak, Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. We expect to see an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It should have curved edges and a punch-hole notch. The renders also indicate a quad-camera arranged in a rectangular module and triple LED flash. What are your opinions on Vivo X70 and Vivo V1?
