Xiaomi has launched the new Redmi 10. The phone was launched very quietly but maybe the phone speaks for itself? This phone to be exact is the successor to the Redmi 9 series. Let’s see what this phone brings.

Specifications
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. As for software, the handset runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. Sources tell that the phone will be able to update to Android 12. Furthermore, the phone houses a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, AdaptiveSync refresh rate (45Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz), and a centred punch-hole. The phone gets power by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
Body
The phone gets a plastic build and comes in three colours, Carbon Gray, Pebble White, and Sea Blue. The device measures 161.95 x 75.53 x 8.92mm in dimensions and weighs 181g.
Camera
The device gets a quad-camera setup on its back consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro shooter, and finally a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas, for selfies and video calls, it uses an 8MP snapper on the front.
Features
This phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, a MicroSD card slot, and an IR blaster. Redmi 10 also comes with a 22.5W charger in the box. The smartphone also supports dual-SIM, 4G, USB Type-C port, and gets a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Price & Availability
For now, the phone is only available in Malaysia, it’s price tag there is $153 for the 4/64GB variant and $177 for the 6/128GB variant. The device will soon be available in the global market but for now, the global prices remain unconfirmed. However, in the official press release, Xiaomi said that the handset starts from $179, for the 4/64GB, $199 for the 4/128GB and $219, for the 6/128GB. It will be available for purchase from August 20.
