Honor has launched an all-new mid-range device in China. The Honor Play 5T Pro aims at gaming in the budget. I also liked the design; it is an elegant design. Not so bold like the majority of the other devices these days. You will get a 64MP Quad Camera setup, Helio G-series chipset, and also a 3.5mm headphone jack. Let’s have a detailed look at Honor Play 5T Pro’s specifications, and price.
Honor 5T Pro Specifications
The Chinese smartphone comes with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel that has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It also manages to get a screen-to-body ratio of 94.2 percent. Although, it misses on fancy features like a high refresh rate. There is a punch-hole notch in the center giving it a modern look.
On the rear side, you will find a 64MP primary shooter with a 2MP macro sensor. It misses out on a wide-angle sensor. On the front side, there is a 16MP selfie shooter. Now coming to the main highlight of Honor 5T Pro, it is the performance. Powering the smartphone is the Helio G80 chipset. We have seen this chipset in a lot of smartphones. There is 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage. The smartphone boots MagicUI 4.0 based on Android 11 OS.
Moving to the battery, there is a 4000mAh capacity that can be fast-charged at 22.5W. It is not a big battery for mid-range smartphones. However, with a 60Hz refresh rate, it should not be a huge problem. With fast charging support, it takes 30 minutes for the phone to gain 53 percent battery juice from zero. Other notable features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Honor Play 5T Pro Price and opinions
The smartphone comes in a single variant: 8/128GB. It is priced at 1,499 Yuan (~$232/Rs.38K). The color options of Play 5T Pro are Magic Night Black and Titanium Silver. Let us know what are your thoughts on this smartphone. I think Play 5T is a phone the company should not have launched. Although, it is still in their home country; Helio G80, with no ultra-wide and inferior display, doesn’t justify $230.
