iQOO has officially teased their upcoming smartphone. The iQOO 8 will be the world’s first smartphone to feature the Samsung E5 LTPO panel. It is all set to launch at 19:30 on the evening of August 17 in China. iQOO which mostly creates gaming-centric and fast charging smartphones is going to up its game with one of the best panel in the coming days.
iQOO 8 – World’s first Samsung E5 display!
The iQOO 8 series will feature the world’s first Samsung E5 luminescent material display, native 1 billion colors, 2K resolution, and 517 PPI pixel density. It is the latest advancement in display tech. We have seen brands using the Samsung E4 panel though the E5 is much more advanced.
An LTPO panel means it can switch between 1Hz and 120Hz depending on the content consumed on the screen. Plus, with a resolution of 2K, everything will be crispy. Although, the posters clearly show the device will have a punch-hole notch camera in the center. It is not the time for iQOO to unveil its under-display camera tech yet. Interestingly, if we increase the brightness of the poster; a long groove at the top of the phone is visible. It could be a speaker, or something else. Guess yourself!
Not just about the display
The display will not be the only highlight of the iQOO 8 series. Digital Chat Station has given us more information. It is expected to come with the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset. Moreover, it will have up to 2GB of RAM with an additional 4GB of virtual RAM support. You will get up to 256GB of internal storage options. There is no compromise on charging speed either. It is expected to have a capacity of 4,500mAH with 120W fast charging. Finally, it will have an in-display fingerprint scanner come out of the box with OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11.
