Realme MagDart was in the news for quite some time now. Now, the Chinese company has officially unveiled the MagDart Ecosystem. It is a system that can charge your device through magnetic wireless technology. Apple was the first company to come up with a magnetic wireless charging solution. However, Realme is the first in the Android world. A total of seven products were revealed today: MagDart Case, MagDart 50W, MagDart 15W, MagDart Power Bank Base, Realme Flash, MagDart Beauty Light, and MagDart Wallet.
Realme Flash and MagDart Case
First, let’s talk about the Realme Flash. It is not a commercial smartphone but a concept phone to showcase the new MagDart technology. It will not be sold as of now. However, you could still use MagDart technology with the MagDart Case. Realme GT is the first phone to come with a MagDart Case. It is a case with the MagDart module allowing you to connect MagDart chargers.
MagDart 50W and 15W chargers
The main highlight of the event was MagDart 50W charger. It is the fastest magnetic wireless charger as of now. A 4,500 mAh battery can be fully charged in under an hour. It has the same speeds as a wired 50W charger.
It can also be used on smartphones with Qi wireless charging support. With high speeds come great heat, hence Realme has added a Mini Active Air cooling solution so that the charger and phone stay at acceptable temperatures. However, this solution is not perfect for travelers.
Hence, there is also a watered-down version of the charger with 15W charging. Apple’s MagSafe is also 15W but it takes around 3 hours to charge the phone. While the MagDart 15W is able to charge the phone in around 90 minutes. Moreover, the charging pad is also thinner at 3.9 mm compared to Apple’s MagSafe. Realme says it was able to make the charger this thin by using a separate coil and board design. Rather than putting the board in the charging coil, Realme placed it on the charging plug.
MagDart Power Bank Base
There is also a 2-in-1 system. It is called MagDart Power Bank Base. It has a power bank that can be used as a stand and you can use your phone while it charges. There is no doubt of great build quality. Realme has used vegan leather and aluminum on it.
MagDart Beauty Light
Realme has also introduced a MagDart Beauty Light that can attach to the back of the device and can be used as a flip-up ring light. It will be liked by content creators. It does not have a battery so the smartphone will reverse charge it. The Beauty Light has 60 LEDs, you can control its temperature and brightness
MagDart Wallet
Lastly, we have a MagDart Wallet. It is also made from vegan leather and aluminum. It can come in handy as it can hold three credit cards and there is also a kickstand that you can use to prop up the phone.
