Honor Terminal CEO Zhao Ming today while talking about tech at CCTV, showed off what possibly is the Honor Magic 3 series. The back design goes fully exposed and specifications have also been gained from various sources. From the first look at the phone, the design looks huge and covers almost the whole back of the device.
Honor Magic 3 Series
According to the video released, Zhao Ming was introducing the AI function of the phone, when a new phone was shown, no surprise that the phone is from the new Honor Magic 3 series.
From the video, although the phone was seen with a protective case, still the design can be seen on the upper back. There are five cameras, two above and three below, the entire circle behind the Honor Magic 3 is the main camera that covers almost half of the phone.
Camera
The camera system of Honor Magic 3 will have five cameras as leaked by the video. The leaks on the specifications of the camera module also appear ridiculous, as it was suggested that there will be a main 50MP Camera sensor, 3x 64MP sensors and then a ToF sensor. No further information is gained regarding the camera. We think that the 64MP sensors may have different levels of magnification to achieve greater consistency between the different lenses.
Specifications
The phone is expected to get the Snapdragon 888+, with 12GB Ram and 128GB Rom. Other than that the display is said to be an AMOLED display with very slim bezels and a pill-shaped cutout. The sides of the display will also be curved. The phone is said to get many AI features including “Gaze Mute”. It simply lowers the sound of the ringtone of the phone when it detects you looking at the display (much like what the iPhone does).
Launch Date
The series will be launched on 12 August.
