Huawei announced the Huawei MatePad 11. This tablet comes with great specifications and a decent design. But will it be able to hold against Apple & Samsung?
Huawei MatePad 11
The Huawei MatePad 11 is the first tablet to get HarmonyOS out of the box. This tablet looks really amazing on paper, but the real thing comes to the feel and especially the GMS services. Let’s take a look.
Specifications
This tablet comes powered by Snapdragon 865+, with 6GB ram and 64/128GB storage options. The multimedia consumption on this tablet is amazing as it has a huge 10.95″ 120Hz LCD Display, with a DCI-P3 movie-level colour gamut display certification and 2.5K resolution. The 4 speakers on this are tuned by Harmon/Kardon. MatePad 11 has a smoother operating experience in scenes such as video, games, reading and sliding, and with the second-generation HUAWEI M-Pencil stylus, the delay is as low as 2ms. The battery is also huge with a 7250mAh cell and 22.5w fast charging.
Camera
Now, for me, the camera on a tablet doesn’t really matter that much, because personally, I wouldn’t use a 10″+ device to capture a video or photo. But, the front camera means a lot because of the whole online meetings and classes etc. Huawei MediaPad 11 gets a 13 MP, f/1.8, main camera and a 8 MP, f/2.0 front camera. Not the best clearly.
Multi-device interaction
This tablet, thanks to HarmonyOS work really good with other devices running the same OS. Huawei MatePad 11 supports multi-screen collaboration, wisdom, windows and other functions, and further optimize the parallel horizon, mouse and keyboard operation as well as shortcut keys. It can also be combined with the Huawei MateBook series notebooks and MateView series displays. Making a stronger productivity tool through HarmonyOS.
Among them, the cross-screen collaboration between Huawei MatePad 11 and PC supports three modes of mirroring, expansion, and sharing. Tablet PC multi-screen collaboration can freely drag and drop content between the tablet and PC, and flexibly share the keyboard and mouse. It’s impressive how close HarmonyOS is getting to android/IOS.
Price
This MediaPad 11 costs 2399yuan, which is around $370 & PKR 60,000. In my opinion, the pricing is fair and not that expensive.
Thoughts
I think if you are comfortable with the new HarmonyOS then this is a great deal. The only bad thing about this tab is the lack of GMS. So, what do you think of the MatePad 11? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
