After US Ban, we were wondering if Huawei would be able to survive in the smartphone world. Even though it has lost a huge share of the global market, the company is still dominating in its home country. Huawei announced HarmonyOS in June 2021. In just over a month, HarmonyOS have reached 30 Million users.
HarmonyOS 2.0 came with a redesign and new features. Huawei first introduced the HarmonyOS to flagship series including Mate40 series, Huawei P40 series, and Mate30 smartphones, and tablets such as Huawei’s MatePad Pro. And in just a week, HarmonyOS was able to get 10 million users. Now it has 30 Million users, but the thing to notice is that old mid-range smartphones are still waiting for the update.
Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 4th Stage Rollout
In the 4th stage rollout, devices including Huawei Mate 10 Series, P20 Series, Mate RS Porsche Design, Glory X10, Glory X10 Max, Glory 30S, Glory 30 Youth Edition, Glory Play4, Huawei Nova 5i, Huawei Nova 4, Huawei Nova 4e will be able to get HarmonyOS 2.0 via internal testing. These smartphones can apply for internal testing from mid-July. it is a lot faster than expected. As the news was that the 4th rollout would start from Q4 2021.
Huawei P50 series launching on July 29Huawei P50 series has been in the rumor mill for quite some time now. Even though the company has been teasing the device, there is no actual confirmation of the device. However, a trusted tipster has suggested that the P50 series will be launching on July 29th.
The new P50 series will have a bold design. The new camera sensors look insane. There might be a 4G-powered P50 with Kirin 9000 chipset. While the Pro models will have 5G connectivity. However, the main highlight of the P50 series will be its camera. It is said to feature a 1/1.18-inch sensor for the ultrawide angle camera. It will be the largest ultra-wide sensor on the smartphone yet. Together with that, we are expecting a 1-inch Sony IMX800 for the primary camera. It will be the largest camera sensor used on smartphones.
