With the recent news of the OnePlus and Oppo merge, people have been wondering if their favorite OnePlus products will lose their identity. OnePlus has a vibe, which only OnePlus users are aware of. There is a top-notch software experience that you might not get anywhere else. However, things might change as according to a leak OnePlus will ditch OxygenOS and adopt ColorOS on OnePlus 9T.
The OnePlus 9T is an upcoming device that is said to launch in Q3 this year. Just like before, OnePlus refreshes its number lineup with “T” later in the year. It has several improvements over the vanilla version. Although, OnePlus has confirmed that there will not be a OnePlus 9T Pro this time. But the leaks of vanilla OnePlus 9T have started arriving.
The biggest leak of the OnePlus 9T is ColorOS 11. If this leak comes out to be true, then the company will get a lot of backlash from fans. Although, the remaining specifications are impressive. According to the leak, the OnePlus 9T will adopt an LTPO Samsung E4 flexible AMOLED. It will have an FHD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Moreover, the smartphone is said to feature a 108-megapixel Hasselblad quad-camera.
Will OnePlus 9T use Snapdragon 888+?
That’s highly unlikely. Qualcomm mentioned that ROG (ASUS), Honor, Motorola, Vivo, and Xiaomi will be the companies using Snapdragon 888+. The name of OnePlus wasn’t present on the list. And another thing to notice is that there is no OnePlus 9T Pro, which obviously hints that OnePlus still wants the OnePlus 9 Pro to be the ultimate flagship.
OnePlus Nord 2
We are anticipating at least 2 new OnePlus devices including the 9 Pro and Nord 2. Both devices may debut somewhere in September 2021. The OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED. It is said to have a refresh rate of 90Hz. In the camera department, expect a 32-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple rear camera system. Dimensity 1200 chip should be powering the smartphone with a 4,500mAh battery and Warp Charge 30T charging.
