As the launch of the device nears, we are hearing a lot of rumours regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Here we will try to cover all the leaks and rumours regarding the Z fold 3.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
The Z fold series is currently Samsung’s most powerful phone series and this year will be the launch of the 3rd generation of Z Fold. The foldable phone usually gets the best specifications there are and the rumours say nothing less.
Specifications
The phone will get Snapdragon 888+ processor, with 12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB internal storage. The inner external display will be a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity 120Hz, while the internal display will be a 7.5-inch foldable Super AMOLED 120Hz display.
We will see a huge 5000mAh battery with fast charging. Based on some leaks Samsung will also be making the body of the phone more durable and strong. Also the Z Fold 3 will support the S-Pen.
Camera
It will have a 10MP selfie camera under the cover display and a 16MP selfie camera under the foldable display. At the rear, the smartphone could feature a triple-camera setup with a 12MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. All cameras should be capable of recording 4K 60fps videos.
Under-Display Selfie Camera
Rumours and leaks point towards the Z Fold 3 having an Under-Display selfie camera. According to Ice Universe, the under-display selfie camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have 40% higher light transmittance when compared to under-display cameras on existing smartphones. It means that the camera can absorb more light, leading to relatively brighter images and videos with less noise.
Previous reports have claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature a 16MP under-display camera sensor (Sony IMXx71). It is expected that the image quality of the under-display camera wouldn’t be as good as the punch-hole selfie camera on the cover display. So, if users aren’t happy with the under-display camera’s quality, they can use the 10MP selfie camera on the cover display of the smartphone.
Price
There may be some good news on the horizon, rumour has it that the next generation of Galaxy foldable will be up to 20% cheaper at launch.
Note the “up to”. If Samsung does find a way to knock a fifth off the price, the Galaxy Z Fold3 will start at $1,600 (PKR 250,000). It is still expensive, but it’s moving towards a more reasonable level.
