Today in WWDC 21 Apple also announced an update for the Apple Watch & Watch OS 8.
Apple Watch OS 8
Reflux
This is a new mode along with the “Breath” to “Focus”. Here it gives you good quotes and music with animation to focus.
Health
In the Health app, we also see many updates, a new feature called “Respiratory rate” that can be measured while you are sleeping. You can just sleep and wake up and have all the information regarding your respiration.
New workouts can be seen in the workout section, including “Kung Fu and many more”. We get to see a new “Artist spotlight series” to support your new workouts, here playlists from your favourite artists will be intelligently set as per your workouts so you can enjoy music.
There has also been improvement in running detection. Your step length and time can now also be measured easily through the health App.
Look & Feel
You can now set “Portrait watch face” where the watch intelligently selects portrait photos. They create a 3D type of field of view to make your watch screen. You can also access photos memories from here.
Messages
Messages updates with “Dictate” and “Scribble” and “Emojis” from the same view. You now don’t have to go to different screens to send or dictate a message and everything can be done from one display.
