Realme unveiled the Watch 2 last month, and today the company followed up with the Realme Watch 2 Pro. The Realme Watch 2 Pro looks similar to the vanilla Watch 2 but sports a larger screen bigger battery and more features.
Realme Watch 2 Pro
The Realme Watch 2 Pro comes with a 1.75″ 30Hz Display, with a resolution of 385×320 pixels. It also has a peak brightness of 600 nits. Like the Watch 2, the Pro version also gets 100+ watch faces, including the new live options. But, with the pro, you now get the Master Edition watch faces that are designed by South Korean artist Graflex.
Another step up from the Watch 2 to the Watch 2 Pro is in the battery department. The Watch 2 Pro ships with a 390 mAh battery advertised to offer up to 14-days of battery life, while the vanilla watch 2 packs a smaller 315 mAh battery claimed to provide 12 days of endurance.
Features
The Watch 2 Pro comes with many features packed in including, a built-in dual-satellite GPS, eliminating the need for a smartphone to map your workout routes, you also get sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen level measurement, sedentary reminder, drink reminder, and meditation breathing. Realme also promises support for 90 sports modes through a future OTA, so out of the box, you get 16 workout modes. This Watch provides great competition to other smartwatches in the market.
And the list does not end here, the Watch 2 Pro also comes with music and camera controls, a phone finder, weather forecasting, IoT control, and IP68 dust and water resistance. Moreover, the smartwatch also alerts you of app notifications and incoming calls, although you can only reject the calls since the Watch 2 Pro doesn’t have a microphone and a speaker to allow conversations.
Price & Availability
The Realme Watch 2 Pro has Space Grey and Metallic Silver colour options, with the bundled liquid silicone straps coming in Black and Light Grey colours, respectively. The wearable is priced at RM299 ($70/PKR10,741) and will go on sale in Malaysia starting May 29.
Our Thoughts
I think the Watch 2 Pro is a really great smartwatch especially for the price you pay and the features you get. The only downside is the absence of the microphone and speaker in the watch. The 14-day battery life is also huge considering the expensive watches hardly get you 48 hours on a single charge. So, what do you think of the watch? Do you think it’s a good watch? will you consider buying it over the other options? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
