The e-commerce giant Amazon adds Pakistan to its approved Seller’ List. Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood announced on Thursday. This is a huge milestone for the development of the country.
The long-awaited business opportunity has finally arrived in Pakistan as Amazon adds Pakistan to its approved seller list. Razak Dawood said it is a great opportunity for Pakistani youth, SMEs, and women entrepreneurs. He also said that they have been engaged with Amazon since last year and now it’s happening. Gill said Pakistan has now joined the global market which will result in billions for the country in the form of investment and employment opportunities.
Amazon has registered an office in Pakistan under the name Amazon Data Services Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. According to records of the SECP (Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan), Amazon’s Pakistan office will be led by Paul Andrew Macpherson, who will be the CEO

Now as we are the part of approved list, it means that people can directly sell their goods on Amazon even if they are based in Pakistan and enjoy. Before it was very difficult to sell on Amazon if you are a Pakistani resident but now it has become so much easier providing many opportunities for entrepreneurs.
After Pakistan’s addition to Amazon-approved selling countries, accounts can be made using Pakistani details. This milestone will drastically change the game and result in a new era of economic growth as more sellers will visit the platform than ever before. A webinar was also organized by the Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles and the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan with senior executives of a few Pakistani companies.
In that webinar, Omar Gajial, a former senior executive of Amazon, shared with the participants what sort of opportunities will be available to Pakistani businesses to sell their products on Amazon and how they can derive maximum benefit from this opportunity once Amazon opens its Seller Registration for Pakistan.
