Xiaomi has just revealed their announcement of manufacturing smart electric vehicles. The company has let out a picture telling us about the announcement of smart electric vehicles.

Smartphone giant Xiaomi announced that it is entering the electric vehicle business. The company will operate a wholly-owned subsidiary to operate the electric vehicle business. The company estimates the eventual investment in the company in the next 10 years to reach $10 billion. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun will serve as the CEO of the electric vehicle business, stated the company. Xiaomi plans to make electric vehicles (EVs) using Great Wall Motor’s factory.

After Apple now we should expect electric vehicles from Xiaomi? Well yes, after the announcement it has made it clear that we should expect vehicles from Xiaomi.
I am very excited, as the electric vehicle market is heating up, we are using smartphone companies step into the market, we will see many brands launch that gives competitions to the existing car brands and we also are seeing car makers such as Tesla trying to step into the phone market.
Xiaomi has already entered the smart home space so it is not hard to imagine a Xiaomi car. We already have seen routers, TVs, Weighting Scales, and even toothbrushes or vacuum cleaners.
