POCO has officially launched two new smartphones. In today’s launch event, POCO X3 Pro and POCO F3 are introduced. The X3 Pro is an all-new device and a successor to last year’s POCO X3 NFC. While the F3 is a Redmi re-branded. X3 Pro provides a high price to performance ratio. On the other hand, POCO F3 provides everything you need and that too on a decent budget.
POCO X3 Pro
The POCO X3 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD Panel. It has a higher refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The phone sports a punch-hole notch making it look modern. Coming to the camera, the POCO X3 Pro features a 48MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and finally a 2MP depth sensor. On the front side, you will find a 20MP front-facing shooter.
The highlight of the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset. It is a new chipset in the family although only the name is new as this chipset is basically Snapdragon 855+ with some tweaks. But still, it is a very powerful chipset and the most powerful in this price range. With this powerful processor, the phone also supports UFS 3.1 storage which is really fast. Finally, the phone has a 5160mAH battery with 33W fast charging support. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Hi-Res audio, Dual speakers, and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
POCO X3 Pro Design
The design of the POCO X3 Pro is just like the vanilla X3 NFC. It has the same camera module which is not liked by many. And a big POCO branding. However, the difference between the original POCO X3 NFC and this Pro version is that this phone has a glass build quality compared to the poly-carbonate of POCO X3 NFC. The phone weighs 215g and is 9.4mm thick. Also, the phone comes in three colors including Black, Blue, and Bronze.
POCO X3 Pro Pricing
POCO X3 Pro comes in the following variants: 6/128GB and 8/256GB. The 6/128GB variant costs 249 Euros (~$297/Rs.46K), and the early bird price of this variant is 199 Euros (~$237/Rs.37K). The 8/256GB variant costs 299 Euros (~$356/PKR.55K) and the early bird price is 249 Euros (~$297/Rs.46K).
POCO F3 Specifications
POCO F3 on the other hand is a more premium offering. It comes with a 6.67 S-AMOLED display with a higher refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. It also has a 1200 peak brightness. The phone sports a triple camera setup comprising of a 48MP Primary, 8MP ultra-wide, and 5MP depth sensor. The front has a 20MP selfie shooter. Unfortunately, this phone is also not camera-oriented.
On the plus side, it offers Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. It sits below the Snapdragon 888 meaning it is very strong. A flagship processor together with UFS 3.1 storage is the highlight of the device. The phone has a 4520mAH battery that can be fast-charged at 33W. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. It runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11 out of the box. The phone comes with Hi-Res audio, GG6 protection, Dolby Atmos, X-axis linear motor, and three mics with 360 degrees spatial audio.
POCO F3 Design
It is an all-new design. Looks premium thanks to its flagship inspired design. It has a different look to it. The phone is light and slim compared to X3 Pro. It weighs 196g and is 7.8mm thick. . It comes in three colors including White, Black, and Blue. It does not have a very big POCO logo as on X3 Pro. But a smaller one which is acceptable. On the front, there is a similar punch-hole notch.
POCO F3 Pricing
The POCO F3 comes in the following variants: 6/128GB and 8/256GB. The 6/128GB variant is priced at 349 Euros (~$ 416/PKR.65,000), the early bird price of this variant is 299 Euros (~$356 /PKR.55,000). The 8/256GB variant costs 399 Euros (~$475/PKR.74K), the early bird price of this variant is 349 Euros (~$416/PKR.65K).
