After many leaks and rumors, POCO has finally announced a date for a global launch event. We have posted a lot of leaks in the past. To sum it up, we are expecting the launch of two devices. One could be an all-new POCO X3 Pro. While the other one will be a Redmi K40 rebranded phone and could be launched as POCO F3.
POCO global launch details
Poco broke the news on Twitter, in a tweet revealing the time and date of the official launch event. The event will be covered on social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter on March 22 at 20:00 GMT+08:00. Do note this is a global event. Previously, POCO India hinted at a launch event for March 30th as-well.
What devices to expect?
In the launch event, one phone expected is a brand new POCO X3 Pro. This phone could be an all-new and the successor to POCO X3. Rumors are also suggesting that two devices will be launched. And it makes sense to launch 2 devices since the Redmi K40 series will also apparently launch under POCO branding.
A tech influencer Mukul Sharma stated that POCO is delivering two devices globally and there are high chances that the second device might be POCO F3/POCO F3 Pro. POCO F3/F3 Pro is also said to be a rebrand of the Redmi K40 series.
Specifications of POCO X3 Pro (Rumored)
The POCO X3 pro is said to get the Snapdragon 860 SoC, an AMOLED 120Hz Display, and a 5000mAh+ battery with fast charging. The device will have 8GB RAM and 128GB of base storage with a Quad Camera setup.
Specifications of POCO F3/F3 Pro
Redmi K40 aka POCO F3/F3 Pro comes with a E4 AMOLED 120Hz high refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, and super-resolution technology display. The camera has a main 48mp along with a 5mp ultra-wide and a 5mp macro sensor. The K40 comes with Snapdragon 870, 4520mAh battery, and 33w fast charging.
Price & launch dates
The event will take place on the 22nd of March while for the Indian market, it is March 30th. The device is rumored to be priced around $350 globally.
