“iPhone 12 is the world’s best smartphone” says Huawei CEO

    Ren Zhengfei, CEO of Huawei stated that ‘the Apple iPhone 12 is the best current smartphone in the world’. The statement was briefed during a press conference, where he also cleared numerous amount of rumors about Huawei not interested in selling its consumer/mobile tech business.

    Ren said that the customers in Europe love Apple products and now that Huawei high-end handsets aren’t available in the region anymore, the Apple iPhone 12 has proved that ‘Huawei’s 5G capabilities and technology is the best’. Huawei has been suffering for around 3 years due to the US restrictions, which also involves Huawei unable to run on Google’s Android OS and related apps, making Huawei completely independent.

    Ren also hopes that the company’s suffering must have an end, and the US ban on them shall be lifted, reported by South China Post. ‘Our company does not have the energy to be involved in these political mishaps. We are dedicated and strive to make good products. And hope that the US government can have more open policies that are beneficial for their own American companies and the development of the US Economy.

    He also expressed that Huawei will survive the sanctions imposed by Donald Trump and wants to expect a restart in ties with the U.S. upon the arrival of the new president, Joe Biden, and its administration, and hope that they can resolve and buy large volumes of American equipment, components, etc so that we can all benefit from China’s growth and in the US Economy.

    Huawei has been suffering quite a while and is going down since the US ban was imposed, yet they are trying their level best in bringing in new innovations, a new ecosystem of their own towards their consumers. Huawei was at the top along Apple and Xiaomi in their best-selling charts for several years but soon is depleting down back hard. The only region which is China majorly is interested in buying a Huawei smartphone/products to its consumers.

    Huawei CEO did clear it out that Huawei will keep its smartphone business in the market. “We have decided we absolutely will not sell off our consumer devices, our smartphone business,” he said.

    Related to this, Huawei is ready to prepare a  launch event to announce, their new successor to foldable phone lineup, the Huawei Mate X2 on February 22, and then the company has plans to release a new P-series the P50. Somewhere during spring (March-April). These products will show their capabilities and also will symbolize their new software ecosystem, App Gallery, hardware, and camera department.
