The Xiaomi Mi 11 was launched globally a week ago, the consumers also expected the Mi 11 Lite and the Mi 11 Ultra, but it didn’t happen. Yesterday the Mi 11 Ultra appeared on a Hands-On video.

A Philipino Youtuber known as Tech Buff PH uploaded the Mi 11 Ultra Video. Currently, right now, the video has been kept in private and is not shown to the viewers. Only a few viewers got to see the phone and in fact, downloaded and uploaded the video on their own channels here.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra seems to remind us, the Poco X3 Phone with its 1/4 of the phone-sized camera bump but this time, it’s even more visible and has a secondary display equipped within the camera bump.

Camera

The camera will house in 3 camera sensors – 50 MP Primary Main Camera, 48 MP Ultrawide and 48 MP Periscope camera with a LED Flash aside it and a secondary display, which should come in handy as taking selfies with the rear cameras.

It also has the ‘120X Zoom‘ written over it, suggesting that Xiaomi will still keep on increasing their zoom capabilities and improve it, previously found in the Mi 10 Ultra, As well with the 67W Wired and Wireless charging capabilities along with a 10W reverse charging

Display Specification

The display for the Mi 11 Ultra will be similar to the Mi 11 specs. He (Tech Buff PH ) mentions that it will be a 6.8-inch quad curved, OLED display at WQHD+ Resolution and with a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate with a 480 Hz touch sampling rate. A 20 MP Selfie camera equipped within a hole-punch cutout. ( Unfortunately Under Display Camera yet) and the screen is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus for more protection and durability and is certified with an IP 68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Internal Specifications

It packs a monster 5000 MaH Battery, Harmon/Kardon custom-tuned speakers, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, and charging speed up to 67W of fast wired and wireless and 10 W reverse charging. All these specifications are nearly similar to the base Mi 11 except with a certified IP Rating, a bigger battery, and faster-charging options.

Design

If the hands-on video is true, the most unique feature and most interesting aspect of the Mi 11 Ultra will be the secondary display equipped behind. We have seen similar designs from Nubia and also with a leaked upcoming Asus ROG Phone 5. For now, we can’t see an actual purpose of the phone even due to the display being so tiny (except for just taking rear camera selfies). So far there are no display specifications yet on that tiny display but seems that it can run any app over it (Just don’t do it, it’s pointless of course and acts like a gimmick). Last but not least, it will be running on MIUI 12.5 based upon android 11.

2 color variants so far shown in the video. Credit : Tech Buff PH

With the above picture, we can look at the color variants that Mi 11 Ultra will have in options. A plain gray and black ( similar colors like the Samsung S20 Ultra ) The white color model has “120X Ultra Pixel AI Camera” written over it, while the text on the back color model has “120X, 12-120mm, 1:1.95-4.1”.

We are not sure why the written text is different on both of these phones, maybe one (or plausibly both) of these devices is a prototype. Either way, we’re hoping that Xiaomi has upgraded the periscopic zoom lens from 5X optical (as seen on the Mi 10 Ultra) to 10X optical in order.to compete with the Samsung S20 Ultra’s impressive periscope zoom.

It’s sort of shocking already to see an early hands-on video on the Mi 11 Ultra, so far there is no official announcement on its release date. But leakers assume that the event will take place after 2-3 months. What do you think ? Will you buy this phone ? Let us know down below.
