The Redmi K30 series was a success. Now, it’s time for Redmi to launch their K40 series. Redmi GM Lu Weibing has already posted the key specifications as well as the starting price of the upcoming Redmi K40 series. With the previous Redmi strategy, the phones may launch under POCO branding i.e POCO F3 Pro in the global market. Let’s check out what the lineup will bring.

As you may know, there are certain models of the K series. There was a vanilla K30, a K30 Pro as well as K30 Ultra. We can say that the phone which Lu Weibing mentioned is Redmi K40 Pro. As speculated earlier, the Redmi K40 Pro comes with the all-new Snapdragon 888 processor. It will be the cheapest phone with this flagship chip. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 is a 5nm based chipset that comes with Adreno 660 GPU and X60 5G modem baseband.

But the Snapdragon 888 is not the only highlight of the device. According to Lu Weibing, it comes with the most expensive straight screen. Now we do not know what exactly it means. Although, we expect to come with a higher refresh rate probably of 120Hz or 144Hz on top of an AMOLED display.
Furthermore, it is stated the device will have a battery capacity of more than 4000mAH. Redmi lineup usually supports 30W fast charging, unlike Realme’s very fast 65W. Now, the specifications are looking very good. There is a Snapdragon 888 plus a good display but at what price?

You will be shocked to know that the starting price is just CNY 2,999 (~$465/PKR.74,602). It is actually a fabulous price for a Snapdragon 888 processor. But do note that this pricing is for China. We know that when the device gets launched globally it is fairly expensive. The smartphone will be launched sometime in February.
