Another 5G flagship series of smartphones from Huawei is here. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro Plus. Both of the devices will not be available in the USA. I think you all know the reason behind this. Another thing this phone does not support any Google application. If you live in china you can use Huawei’s own apps. But if you’re from outside china the app will show you a beautiful massage that is, “this app did not support in your region” but the phone itself is very well with its excellent camera.
Display

The first thing you see on both devices is the eye-catching display. Both Pro and Pro Plus comes with a 6.76 inches display. This beautiful display has 88 Degrees curved panels which we called Edge display in simple language. The actual bezel-less display with the punch camera setup. Both come with a 90Hz OLED panel. It is a bit awkward that the resolution is between FHD+ and QHD that is 2640×1200 fixed Pixels. The reason I called it fixed is that it has a curved display and all apps will support it and do not cut any content.
Design

The overall phone design is very good. The edge to edge curved display with Punch Camera display. On the back, both Pro and Pro Plus comes with a Donut Camera setup. Pro has three cameras and Pro Plus comes with five cameras. Both models come with the same height of 162.9mm and width of 75.5mm but the depth is change. Because Pro comes in two variants Vegan Leather and Glass back but the other Pro Plus has a glass back only. The Pro has a whole range of colors that comes in Mystic Silver, White, Black, Yellow, Green but Pro Plus comes in only two Ceramic White and Ceramic Black.
Performance

The whole new Huawei Kirin 9000 processor has released in Mate 40 series. This 5G processor has 8 cores of which 4 cores are Cortex A77 and the other 4 are Cortex A55. the dedicated 24 cores Mali G78 GPU for better gaming performance is here. The Pro version comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of Storage but the Pro Plus comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB Storage. Both of the devices are releasing with EMUI 11.0 Operating System with Android 10. People outside of China can enjoy Android but still did not support some Google Apps, giving the region error.
Camera

The best thing in the Huawei Mate 40 series is the Camera. After P20 Pro the performance of Huawei’s cameras are well known. Now the Company is going to take the old place again. The Three Cameras set up in Pro can capture hybrid zoom images. 50MP Ultra Vision camera can capture in very low light. The second camera has a 20MP Ultra Wide sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. On the next 12MP Telephoto Camera with OIS to capture ultra-zoom images without breaking pixels and shakings. In the front of Pro, you get a dual-camera setup one is 13MP Ultra Vision Camera, and the second is a 3D sensor to capture pictures in depth.
The Pro Plus has an actual professional camera. Comes with 5 sensors. The first is a 50MP Main camera with OIS. the second one is a 20MP ultra wide-angle camera with f/2.4 aperture. Next to that is a 12MP telephoto OIS camera that can do 3x optical zoom. On the fourth number is an 8MP superzoom camera, which can capture 10x optical zoom with OIS. after that there is a 3D camera sensor to capture the image in depth. And in front of Mate 40 Pro Plus has the same camera setup as in Mate 40 Pro.
Battery

Both of the devices Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Pro Plus comes with the same 4400mAh battery size. Huawei Super Charger can charge these devices on 66W. Both devices can charge on 50W on a wireless charger. But the consumption of battery can be a bit high because of 5G bands and 6.0 Wifi but the optimization of Huawei is well known.
Pricing

The Mate 40 Pro comes at a price tag of EUR 1,199 ($1422/PKR.230K) with a single variant of 8GB and 256GB internals. Whereas, the Mate 40 Pro Plus comes at a hefty price tag of EUR 1,399 ($1670/PKR.270K).
