Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 Costs $1999, Thom Browne Edition At $3299

Samsung revived the good old’ foldable phones with the Samsung Galaxy Fold. And now its time Samsung unveil their latest Galaxy Z Fold2 device. The Galaxy Z Fold2 device revisits the foldable theory and brings in the latest high-end specifications with a new bolder design.

The Galaxy Z Fold2 was announced last week with the Unpacked event of the Galaxy Note 20 series. However, Samsung wanted the Galaxy Note 20 to be the starlight and hence the full specifications and pricing weren’t announced. Now, the second part of the Unpacked event is live from Samsung Global and we have summed up all the information regarding the Galaxy Z Fold2 device unveiled on the Unpacked Part 2 event.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 Full Specifications

The Galaxy Z Fold2 comes with two displays. The main display is of a 7.6-inches Super AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1768 x 2208 pixels. While the cover display has gotten bigger than its predecessor and is now 6.23-inches.

Coming to the camera, there is a triple rear camera setup enclosed in a rectangle module seen on the Note 20 devices. There are three 12-megapixel sensors including Wide, Ultra-wide, and telephoto lens. For videography, you can go up to 4K@60fps, 1080p@60/240fps (gyro-EIS) and 720p@960fps (gyro-EIS).

For the selfies, there are two selfie shooters. One on the cover display, while others on the main display. Both are enclosed in a small dot notch and are of 10-megapixel. But if compromising on a selfie is not your choice, then you can capture selfies with the rear camera as well.

One of the most discussed features of Galaxy Z Fold2 at the Unpacked event was the multitasking capabilities. The Galaxy Z Fold2 is made for the multi-taskers. With the two huge displays, you can easily multi-task. Running 3 apps at once won’t be an issue, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset. It is the most powerful chipset for Android as of now.

Coming to the battery, there is a 4500 mAH of capacity that can be fast-charged at 25W. Wirelessly charge at 11W and can charge your other devices via reverse charge at 4.5W. I don’t think so a 4500 mAH battery will allow you to charge other devices since it has to run two big displays. It is funny how Samsung just launched their budget phone with a 7000 mAH battery.

    Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 Price

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 is now up for pre-order in the US. It is priced at $1999 and comes with 256GB and 12GB RAM variant. If pre-order is not your choice, then September 18 is your date to buy it. There are a couple of customization offers for the Galaxy Z Fold2 that allows you to choose the color of your hinge.

Galaxy Z Fold2 Thom Browne Edition

It is Samsung‘s second collaboration with Thom Browne. The Galaxy Z Fold2 Thom Browne Edition comes with Thome Browne Them top to bottom. In the box, you will get a Galaxy Z Fold2, Buds Live, and Samsung Watch. All of them are custom designed to match the Thom Browne theme. Moreover, even the user interface on each product is inspired by Thome Browne.

The Galaxy Z Fold2 Thom Browne Edition is priced at $3299. Well, I am happy with my Redmi Note 8 Pro. How about you?
