Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition was spotted last month on GeekBench listing sporting a Snapdragon 865 chipset. However, a listing for SM-G780F is now live on GeekBench with Exynos 990 chipset. This hints at the typical Samsung approach of launching the same device with different chipsets in different regions. Meaning, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will go live with Snapdragon 865 in the US while in other parts of the world, we will get the Exynos 990 SoC.

If you are wondering about the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition smartphone, then let us re-call the Galaxy S10 Lite & Note 10 Lite. Samsung launched the lite versions of last year’s flagship at reduced prices. This is Samsung’s new approach to launching a watered-down version of its flagship devices. The same will be the case for the upcoming SM-G780F and SM-G781B models. However, the moniker for the smartphone is not confirmed yet.
