At around 3 AM, I got a notification on my phone. And it was a tweet from my favorite Elon Musk. I opened it up, and the tweet was just of one word saying “Hi”. If you follow Elon, then you may know he does post tweets like that. But a new tweet pops up and after reading it, I was like what the hell is going on?
The tweet asked for money. It said to send bitcoins and in-return we will give you double of it. You can see the tweet, it says to send $1000 and in-return you will get $2000.
I took screenshots of the tweet and replies because I knew it was going to delete. I even re-tweeted instantly when I saw a person commenting that he has sent $1000 to Elon. Damn.
Elon Musk is not the only person who was hacked. There are tons of verified accounts like Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Bill Gates, Apple, etc. And it seems like it was not a targeted hacking. The reason being is that there was no change in wording, the hacker posted the same tweet on all accounts. He could have made the tweet sound like more to the person.

It is reported that around $100K+ worth of transactions is gone to the hacker. I doubt that it can be a lot more. What is the future? Well, twitter stock is going down. A question against Twitter’s security will be a concern. Maybe some of these figures ditch Twitter. Down-fall of twitter can be seen clearly.
