After the successful launch of POCO F1, the brand hibernated for quite a long time. Finally, we were happy that POCO has woken up. The phones launched by POCO this year include POCO F2 Pro and POCO X2. Well, both are not entirely new phones but a re-branded version of Redmi K30 models.
Fans were disappointed as they wanted to see the “true successor” of POCO F1. The classic POCO touch is somehow missing from the newly launched phones. And why not? All the new phones are not NEW. Now, the company is bringing a new “M” lineup of smartphones. The POCO M2 Pro has been in the leaks and now it is officially teased by POCO India.

The new tweet posted by the official shows that the phone is going live tomorrow at 12 PM in India. The poster also gives us a hint at what the device is going to look like. The device looks like a Redmi Note 9 series phone. The quad-camera set up in a square module can be seen on the rear side. While you can also see a big X, what does it resemble?
It is actually the Z-axis linear vibration motor. The motor provides a realistic vibration engine to provide better haptic feedback & enhance the overall gaming experience. The posters of this phone have been revolving around this linear motor feature of the phone. Because they certainly don’t have any more features to talk about. As this isn’t a new phone.
The POCO M2 Pro is actually the Redmi Note 9 Pro launched in European markets as well as in other countries like Pakistan, Malaysia, and the Philippines. So, the truth is that the M2 Pro is again a re-branded device, and if you are not living in India, you probably have this phone in your country already.
POCO M2 Pro Specifications

A 6.67-inch FHD+ resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection is present on the M2 Pro. There is no higher refresh rate, sadly.
You will get a quad-camera setup on the M2 Pro. Led by a 64-megapixel primary, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 5-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. While a dot hole notch houses the 16-megapixel shooter for selfies.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G with Adreno 618 graphics will be powering the phone. While a big 5,020mAh battery with 30-watt fast charging is rocking the smartphone.
POCO M2 Pro Price

According to officials, the M2 Pro will be priced below POCO X2 in India. So expect a price tag under Rs. 15,999 for the POCO M2 Pro. The phone is expected to come with 6GB RAM and 64/128G storage. M2 Pro will be available to buy starting from 7th July in India.
POCO Is Still Sleeping

POCO just reminded me of my childhood. I always used to wake up for school and sleep again. The same is the case with POCO, even though they posted about #WakeUpPoco, they are still sleeping. What we want is a classic reboot from POCO. What are your thoughts? Do let me know in the comments section!
