Top 7 Features Of Xiaomi Mi Band 5

The successor of Mi Band 4 is all set to launch tomorrow (11th June) in China. The Mi Band 5 comes with upgraded specifications keeping the budget price tag. Let’s see what are the top 7 features of Xiaomi Mi Band 5.

    1. Large AMOLED Screen

The Mi Band 4 came with a 0.95-inch display but the successor Mi Band 5 is expected to come with a larger 1.2-inch OLED screen. This means we will be getting a 20% larger display on Mi Band 5 compared to the Band 4. The display will be an AMOLED panel meaning the colors will be punchier.

    2. Professional Sensor Upgrade

The new Xiaomi band features upgraded sensors. There will be an enhanced SpO2 sensor. The health band will feature a dedicated sensor for measuring the stress level and breathing activity of the user. There will also be a heart rate sensor and sleep status monitoring.

    3. Magnetic Charging

I really loved how the Huawei band 4 charges, it can charge via any USB port very easily. Unlike the Mi Band 4 in which we have to remove the strap and then charge via a peripheral charger. This time Xiaomi is giving a better charging experience. The Band 5 features magnetic charging in which removal of straps is no longer required.

    4. Professional Sports Mode

There are about 11 professional sports mode on the wrist band. You will be able to track running, cycling, skipping, swimming, and even yoga and indoor cycling sessions as well. The band will examine your session and will give you detailed data results so you can adjust yourself for better training.

    5. NFC and Payment System

The new band will be able to pay for you via NFC outside of China aswell. You will be able to do Google Pay, UnionPay, and Quickpay transactions. The smart band will also come with Amazon Alexa assistant.

    6. Women Health Mode

Apart from other health tracking like SpO2 measurements, and heart rate the band comes with menstrual cycle tracking as well.

    7.  Remote-control feature

You will be able to capture images using your Mi Band 5. The band can work as a remote camera shutter once you have connected it to your smartphone.

Mi Band 5 Price & Availability

If the rumors are to be believed, the new Mi Band 5 will cost 175 Yuan (~$25). The new band will launch in global markets as well after its launch tomorrow in China. Band 5 comes in various color options including yellow, red, blue, and black.
