Xiaomi Redmi series consists majorly of 2 lineup – the Note lineup which has mid-range and upper-midrange smartphones and a number lineup consisting of budget-oriented smartphones. Last year we saw Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, and also Redmi 8A Pro in some regions. This time, we will be getting Redmi 9, 9A, and Redmi 9C.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 Specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with Dot Drop notch. The display has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and boasts an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Talking about the camera segment, the Redmi 9 features a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with 118-degree field-of-view, a 5-megapixel macro lens for closeup shots and a 2-megapixel additional shooter for depth effect. For the front side, the Redmi 9 features an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

A big jump on the performance sector, as the Redmi 9 is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. Further enhanced with LPDDR4x RAM powers and eMMC 5.1 storage. A 5,020mAh battery will ensure long-lasting PUBG gameplay and will also be charged quickly thanks to 18W fast charging through USB-C port.
Redmi 9 Price
The Redmi 9 features 2 variants including 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage. The fancy color options include Purple, and Green while if you want to gift to your parents or grandparents, more sophisticated grey color is also available.

For the people living in the Philippines, they can get the device priced at 6,990 Peso and 7,490 Peso respectively. Whereas, for the global launch we can expect a very aggressive pricing of under $200. For my Pakistani brothers and their sisters reading this, we can expect this phone to be priced between Rs.26000 to Rs.30000. While the phone can be priced in the range of Rs. 13,499 for the Indian market.
Early Opinions
First of all, I want you to know what my primary phone aka Note 8 Pro has to say. My Redmi Note 8 Pro is feeling sad, “A budget phone will be stealing my signature design, so sad!”

Anyways jokes apart, I can see the capability the Redmi 9 will have. The phone actually is very similar to Redmi Note 9 but will provide more value.
